Pennsylvania Bar Exam Format
The Pennsylvania Bar Exam is a two-day exam. Day 1 consists of six essay questions and one Performance Test (PT) question. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam.

A scaled score of 75 on the MPRE is required for admission.
Pennsylvania Bar Exam Scoring and Results
The MBE is worth 45%, the written portion is worth 55%, and the scores are scaled and combined to determine if a passing score of 271 was achieved.
Pennsylvania Bar Exam MBE Reciprocity
Pennsylvania does not accept MBE scores from other jurisdictions.
Pennsylvania Bar Exam Reciprocity
In order to be eligible for admission without taking the Pennsylvania Bar Exam, an applicant must be a member of a reciprocating state bar, have engaged in the active practice of law for five of the seven years immediately preceding the application, and have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school.
